2026年7月14日（火）、難波八阪神社の夏祭りで行われる「陸渡御」が、千日前道具屋筋商店街を巡行しました。
太鼓の音とともに神輿や獅子舞の行列が商店街にやってくると、多くの方が集まり、写真を撮ったり拍手を送ったりしながら見守っていました。
お祭りらしい華やかな雰囲気に包まれ、ミナミの夏を感じるひとときとなりました。
暑い中、巡行に参加された皆さま、難波八阪神社の関係者の皆さま、地域の皆さま、ありがとうございました。
本日、千日前道具屋筋商店街にて消防訓練を実施しました。
商店街では、万が一の火災や災害に備え、定期的に消防・防災訓練を行っています。
消火器を使用した初期消火訓練のほか、AEDの使用方法や心肺蘇生法（心臓マッサージ）の講習、負傷者を安全に搬送するための担架の使用方法について学びました。
商店街の防災設備についても改めて確認を行いました。道具屋筋商店街のアーケードは、火災時の排煙や緊急時の対応を目的として開閉することができる仕組みとなっており、その操作方法や運用手順について学びました。
普段何気なく利用している設備も、いざという時に正しく使えることが重要です。訓練を通じて、防災に関する知識を深めるとともに、緊急時に迅速な対応ができるよう意識を高める機会となりました。
千日前道具屋筋商店街では、今後もお客様や地域の皆さまに安心してお越しいただける商店街づくりを目指し、防災・安全対策に取り組んでまいります。

このたび道具屋筋商店街では、台湾を訪問し、現地商店街や地域活性の取り組み、デザインを活用した街づくりについて学ぶ機会をいただきました。
今回の訪問は、台湾政府直結のデザイン機関であるTaiwan Design Research Institute（TDRI／台湾デザイン研究院）様が昨年道具屋筋商店街を訪問したご縁をきっかけに実現したもので、現地では多くの皆さまに大変温かく迎えていただきました。
台湾各地での交流や視察を通じて、地域・行政・デザイン・商店街が連携しながら街の魅力を育てていく姿勢に、多くの学びと刺激を受けた3日間となりました。
台北から台中へ。田尾公路花園を視察
台北から台中へ移動し、最初に訪問したのが田尾公路花園です。
田尾には約300もの植物関連店舗が集まっており、植物を販売するだけではなく、体験・観光・地域交流を含めた“街全体で楽しめるエリア”づくりが進められていました。
現地では、地域全体でブランドを形成し、来訪者に街の魅力を伝える工夫が随所に見られました。
また、Taiwan Design Research Instituteとの協業による取り組みも進められており、地域資源を活かしながら街に新たな価値を生み出している点が非常に印象的でした。
小西通り商店街で学んだ「新旧をつなぐ街づくり」
続いて訪問したのが、歴史ある街並みを活かした地域活性に取り組む「小西特色街巷」です。
小西特色街巷では、歴史的建築「高賓閣（旧・彰化鐵路醫院）」も見学しました。
1938年に建てられたこの建物は、かつて高級料亭「高賓閣」として賑わい、その後は鉄道病院として地域に親しまれてきた歴史を持っています。現在は、文化・交流・創作の場として再生されており、歴史ある建物を保存するだけではなく、新たな価値を生み出す拠点として活用されていました。
歴史や地域の記憶を活かしながら、新しい世代へつないでいく街づくりの姿勢は、今後の商店街活動においても大変参考となる取り組みでした。
古いものを残すだけではなく、若い世代やデジタル技術を活用しながら、新たなストーリーを地域とともに作り上げていく姿勢が印象的で、また、行政や地域団体と連携しながら街を活性化させる仕組みづくりも進められており、文化を次世代へ継承していくための多くの工夫を見ることができました。
台北へ戻り、南機場夜市を訪問
台北へ戻り、南機場夜市を訪問しました。
現地では、南機場夜市の理事長林さんのお店にご招待いただき、大変温かく迎えていただきました。
夜市全体に活気があり、多くの人で賑わう様子から、地域に根付いた商業文化の強さを感じました。
B級グルメとして人気のピーナッツバターケーキや、台湾を代表するルーローハン、そして初めて体験する臭豆腐など、食を通じて地域文化に触れることもできました。
街の魅力は、店舗だけではなく、そこに集まる人や空気感によって生み出されていることを改めて実感しました。
台湾デザイン研究院（TDRI）を訪問
今回の訪問の中でも特に大きな学びとなったのが、Taiwan Design Research Institute（台湾デザイン研究院）の訪問です。
TDRIが入っている場所は、
もともと日本統治時代に建てられた「松山煙草工場（松山文創園区）」エリアです。
現在は、
- デザイン
- アート
- 文化
- スタートアップ
- 展示
- カフェ
- イベント
などが集まる、台湾を代表するクリエイティブ拠点になっています。
「デザイン」を活用し、国全体をより良くしていく取り組みが進められていました。台湾では、「デザインこそが国の力」という考え方が重視されており、その理念を具体的な組織や施策として形にしている点に、大きな感銘を受けました。
若い世代のエネルギーや創造性も感じられ、地域や文化を未来へつないでいく力を強く感じる場所でした。
今後に向けて
今回の台湾訪問を通じて、外部からの視点によって、改めて道具屋筋商店街の魅力や可能性を見つめ直す機会となりました。
台湾の皆さまとの交流を通じて、地域の歴史や文化を大切にしながら、新しい価値を生み出していくことの重要性を改めて実感しています。
今後も
Taiwan Design Research Institute
の皆さまとの交流を深めながら、外部から見た道具屋筋の魅力を再発見し、その気づきを商店街活動へ活かしていきたいと考えています。
まずは10月に開催予定の台湾デザインEXPOの視察を目標に、今後さらなる交流や取り組みにつなげていければと思います。
今回の台湾滞在は、国際的な関係を築くことができた、大変実りある機会となりました。

Today, students from the University of Melbourne in Australia visited the Doguyasuji Shopping Street as part of their off-campus training.
The purpose of this training is to experience "living Japanese" as it is actually used in Japan, rather than Japanese learned in classrooms or textbooks.
Sennichimae Doguyasuji was chosen as the training location not as a tourist spot, but as a place for learning that allows participants to experience everyday Japanese life and business interactions, fostering natural human connections.
As part of the training, we held okonomiyaki making experience at Chibo, sandblasting experience at Senda Glassware, knife sharpening experience at Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide, and job shadowing experiences at Chida, Ebisuya Hardware Store, and Chida Glass.
Students experience Japanese expressions, customer service phrases, and Kansai-specific ways of speaking by visiting specialty stores that handle kitchen knives, cooking utensils, kitchen equipment, and food samples, and by conversing with shop owners and staff.
Listening to product descriptions, asking questions, and engaging in casual conversation all provide practical Japanese learning opportunities.
Sen-nichimae Doguyasuji is not just a place where tools are sold; it's a place where Japanese food culture, the spirit of commerce, and everyday Japanese language come alive.
I hope this off-campus study trip will be a valuable experience for all students to deepen their understanding of Japan.
Today, January 10th (Saturday), the "Hoe-Kago Procession," a traditional event heralding the New Year in Osaka's Minami district, took place.
Starting from the send-off ceremony at the promenade along the Dotonbori River (Tonbori Riverwalk).
A spectacular parade processed through the streets of Osaka's Minami district, accompanied by the chant "Hoe-kago, Hoe-kago."
Local shopping streets and various organizations adorned palanquins, and many spectators gathered along the roadside.
And this year, from the Doguyasuji Shopping Street, All Hanshin-Kyojin rode the Hoe-kago, further enlivening the New Year's mood in Minami.
The Hoekago procession is a traditional event in Osaka's Minami district, continuing for over 200 years, held in conjunction with Imamiya Ebisu Shrine's "Toka Ebisu" festival to pray for business prosperity.
This year, the area around Douguya-suji Shopping Street was once again filled with a festive atmosphere befitting the start of the new year.
