On Saturday, October 10, 2026, a job experience program for children titled "Connecting and Building Tourism: Kids Job Challenge" will be held at Chichienmae Dogoya-guchi Shopping Street.
This program is part of the “Kids Job Challenge” initiative by Orix Hotel Management and JTB, and is being implemented in collaboration between Cross Hotel Osaka, Seminar House Cross Wave Umeda, and the Chichigaya Dogo-ya-guchi shopping district.
Experience working at the Tool Shop Street Festival!
At Chichigyo Dokuya-guchi Shopping Street, we will hold "Let's make the shopping street that supports Osaka's food culture come alive! – Job Experience at the "Dokuya-guchi Festival"".
While learning about the history of the shopping street and cooking utensils, you will take on tasks to help with demonstrations and sales, as well as calling out to people at the event venue, all of which will help to make the "Tools Street Festival" even more lively.
This opportunity allows you to experience the shopping district you normally visit as a customer firsthand—from helping with the galapon lottery drawing, demonstrations held in front of stores, and inviting people to the flea market, to distributing balloons. You can experience the unique work of a city of tools and the fun of bringing events to life with many people.

In addition to the “Pick-up City” events held at each store, we also have special events unique to the tools city, such as the “Mr. Tool Store Street” where you can try unique time-trial challenges using kitchen utensils, and the lucky draw event.
