Today, the traditional event "Rikuto-gyo" of Namba Yasaka Shrine was grandly held, and the lively procession once again graced the Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street.

A vibrant mikoshi (portable shrine) took center stage, accompanied by the powerful thunder of drums and a dazzling lion dance as they paraded through the streets of Minami, drawing a large crowd of spectators to Doguyasuji.
The shopping street, usually bustling with cookware and kitchenware shops, was completely overtaken by a festive mood today!
Each time the portable shrine passed, the shopkeepers and customers alike clapped their hands, welcoming the procession with smiles and applause.

In front of Namba Grand Kagetsu, a grand offering ceremony was held again this year, and earnest prayers were made for the prosperity of the shopping district and the safety of the region.
To everyone involved, thank you for all your hard work!

With this traditional event announcing the height of summer, a hot summer also arrives at the Doguyasuji Shopping Street.
It's going to get hotter from now on, so please take care of yourselves and have a great summer!

I look forward to celebrating this wonderful festival with all of you again next year.
